DIY Necklace Holders - keep your jewelry from getting tangled!

No matter how carefully I put my jewelry away it always seems that when I need a necklace they all come out in one big tangle.  It's craziness.  What happens in there when I not looking?  My mother in law showed me this trick on her last visit, and with a big move coming up I have been organizing like mad and put this one to use!

All you need to make your own custom necklace holders is a thin cardboard box, like a cereal or tea box.  Just cut the box into rectangles or squares, and make 2 slits in one side.  Then start with the clasp at the back of the space between the slits and wind the chain around vertically through the slits.  Never worry about tangles again.  You can also use the same type of cardboard and poke earrings through to keep the pairs together (another thing I seem to have a lot of trouble with).  So easy, and doesn't cost a thing!!
