Free Trial Class - Little Movers and Shakers Sherman Oaks

I did a session of this music class, and it was really different and fun.  If you have a free morning, sign up for a free demo class!  The class uses new and familiar songs, props, instruments, and has a very enthusiastic leader, Cathy.  She is really fun, but the class can be a little loud, so some kids might be a bit overwhelmed by it!  My daughter loved it but I think my son would have been too shy for it:)

Free Trial Class - Tumble Kick Studio City

A new studio has opened up in Studio City, right above Pinz bowling.  It is called Tumble Kick, and they offer martial arts and gymnastics for ages 3 and up.  They are looking at starting Mommy and Me classes as well, so stay tuned for news about that!

Free Trial Class - Dan the Man Superkids Gym

Dan the Man is a gym very similar to My Gym.  They have classes for infants up to age 12, including a circus acrobatics class.  How cool does that sound?

This gym is located on the Westside, at Sepulveda and Olympic, so it is pretty easy to get to from anywhere, and right off the freeway too.  The link is below with more information.  Why not give it a try?

Free Trial Class - Creation Station Studio City

Creation Station offers a big range of dance classes starting with Parent and Me for toddlers. I found the teachers used a good mix of technical teaching and fun props to keep the kids engaged.  And the schedule is full, so it is easy to find a class that fits your busy life:)

First class is free, so get out those dance shoes and give it a go!

Heal the Bay Aquarium at Santa Monica Peir

This cute, very small aquarium is tucked away under the Santa Monica Pier. It is small enough that you don't worry about losing track of anyone, but it still has a lot of interesting things to see and do!
Admission is by donation, but kids under 12 are free.  The suggested donation for adults is $5, but the minimum donation is $3. The hours are pretty limited, so make sure to check the website before heading out.
They also have a micro biologist class for kids age 3-5, on Mondays during the summer, for only $25 for 2 hours.  It is a drop off class, so you can lay on the beach for 2 hours!!

Free Trial Class - Kidnasium Santa Monica

Kidnasium is a children's gym in Santa Monica, and they offer classes for ages 6 months to 6 years.  Also, if you are a member and enrolled in a class you can also go in (I think once per week) for free open play.

Free Trial Class - Toddle Tunes

Toddle Tunes is a super fun class for babies and toddlers in the Westwood area.  They have a full schedule of classes for different ages, and real musicians that work hard to make the classes funny and entertaining for kids and grown ups.  They play real instruments, so the class does get really loud:)

Free Creative Movement Classes at Studio City Library

Here is another great library event, free of charge, that I came across while looking for new story times to fit my schedule.  This library is offering a creative movement class every Monday through May 20.  The class is for kids age 4-6, and advance sign up is required.  Check out the link for all the nitty gritty:)  Fun!

Coupon: 3 FREE Swim Lessons with 2 month registration

Lenny Krazelberg is a swim school that people seem to either love or hate.  They are not just a mommy and me swim program, they teach kids how to swim.  I haven't tried it, but I came across this coupon on Plum District.  If you sign up, pay your registration fee, and do at least 2 months of classes you can get 3 free lessons.  This isn't the deal to make you decide to take swim classes, but if you are already planning on checking it out this summer (I have heard so many moms say they will be doing swim over the summer) then you might as well have some free lessons thrown in there:)

Free Trial Class - My Gym

Here is the first of our free trial class series!  I chose My Gym because they have so many locations around SoCal, and they have classes for all different age groups.

My son first took My Gym classes at 7 months old.  They are really fun for the younger kids, and teach them the routine of circle time, followed by structured activity, followed by free play.  They have gym classes for all ages, and dance, karate and more classes for older kids.  This is a great place to check out for a free class.

Free Ladybug Demo classes are back again!

If you haven't already tried out Ladybug Music they are once again offering demo classes this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.  Check out the link below for more info and to book a spot.  They will be held at locations in Santa Monica, Hollywood and Studio City.

Most infant/toddler/little kid classes will offer you a free trial class if you call ahead.  I'll start to post about a few locations.  They are a great way to fill a morning or afternoon, and to try something new with your little ones with no cost!
