My Rite Aid trip spanned 2 shopping days this week. I got a few really great coupons on my receipt after my first trip, and I had to go back today to use them!!
I already posted about some of these deals, but I'll recap.
2 gerber baby food, after discount $1.19 each and got back $3 reward for buying 2. I wanted to get more but they only had 2!
3 school supplies, $.33 each, got back $.99 in rewards for buying 3.
2 Oral B complete toothbrushes, $2.99. Used 2 $.50 coupons so they cost $2.49 each and got back $2.99 each in rewards.
1 Oral B power toothbrush, $5.99. Used a $3 coupon making it $2.99 and got back $2 in rewards.
I had a $5 coupon for John Frieda hair color, so I wanted to check out the price. As soon as I hit the aisle I spotted a peelie coupon on the hair color - get a free shampoo when you buy the hair color. So, I got the hair color, $10.39 after my discount, minus $5, and the shampoo was free. So good!
2 Right Guard deodorant, sale price 2/$5. I used 2 $1.50 coupons, so they were 2/$2, and then I used $1 peelie coupons from each deodorant, so they were free!! I also got $1 back for buying 2 deodorant.
Also, I got a $3 Venus coupon and a $6 John Frieda conditioner coupon. I bought one Venus razor for $8.99 sale price, and used the $3 coupon with a $5 manufacturer coupon. I paid $.99 and got back $2. With my gold discount, the John Frieda was only $5.99, so I got that free with the coupon. It actually reduced the cost of the razor to $.98 because the.coupon was over the value by a penny. Too bad, because I was going to use my $.99 reward and pay nothing before tax! Oh well. $.98 ain't bad!
My cashier at this store was super nice too. While he was ringing through my coupons he did ask my opinion about his relationship problems. He was wondering if I were cheated on if I would want to know who the other person was. That is the weirdest question I have ever been asked by a sales associate.
Anywho...my totals for both trips are as follows:
Total cost before tax was $12.71 for around $78 worth of stuff!! Earned back $14.97 in rewards. Yay!
