We had such a great time at the Franklin Canyon campfire a few weeks back. The ranger that led the event really tried to make it interesting and interactive for the kids. My son discovered he doesn't actually like toasted marshmallows, but he did come home lots of new facts about coyotes and stink-bugs!!
I also learned that the campfires will be held every Wednesday throughout the summer. They start at 7, and last about an hour and a half. Marshmallows and skewer-things are provided, but you can bring your own if you are a pro:)

Make sure you choose public programs link under Franklin Canyon.
For those of you that have never been, you can enter the park from the north off Mulholland Dr. It is right at the branch with Coldwater, across from Tree People.
